The story of BIG SHOE JOE is a timeless tale about a little boy with REALLY BIG FEET
and all the challenges and opportunities that come along with them!
Children learn that being a little different is OK and even GREAT!
The author's goal is to inspire, educate, and entertain children throughout the world
and maybe even help them learn how to tie their shoelaces at the same time!
Daniel Simpson is a musician, artist/author and PA from the
Hudson Valley near Bard College, at Annandale-on-Hudson.
For the past several years, Daniel, along with Producer Michael Pillot, Van Morrison guitarist John Platania and Clubhouse Studio Owner/Engineer Paul Antonell, have been developing a children's animation program in Namsos, Norway.
All the while practicing medicine
and raising a family in the greater New York City area.
Auslag Willumsen and Daniel Simpson began working together in 2016 when she was animating and illustrating his children's program at the award winning animation studio Kindergarten in Trondheim, Norway. This work led to Auslag illustrating the Big Shoe Joe book. Aslaug has extensive animation and illustration background in Norway working with national and international brands such as Volvo as well as several groundbreaking children's animation videos
Luis is introducing Big Shoe Joe to the children of Latin America with the development of live theatrical events, online streaming and the distribution of BIG SHOE JOE books in classrooms throughout South America.
He studied cinematography and television production at the
T.A.I. University School of Arts in Madrid, Spain.
As a Production manager, Luis
has won more than 20 International Awards including a Simón Bolívar award for the documentary series “Immigrantes” together with Film Director Camila Loboguerrero
Michael Pillot and Daniel Simpson have worked together for several years on a children's animation series based in Namsos, Norway.
Now Michael is lending his promotional talents for Big Shoe Joe and his anti-bullying message to children world wide.
Michael's storied career includes video production work with artists such as Michael Jackson and Pink Floyd. His musical background with Columbia Records is second to none, guiding such musical legends as Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan and Miles Davis,
to name just a few.
